I have heard several ways to set bump stop gap and sway bar. We currently have the guys kneel on the front of the car and take it down until it just touches the lf bump and leave a 1/4" gap on the rf. We set the sway bar at static but once you get on the bumps it adds 4 points of wedge to the car. The reason I know that is we pulled the springs and put it back on the scales and let it set on the bumps and it took 12 turns out of the bar to get it back to neutral. My question is do we set the wedge at static and then pull the ride springs and set the cross member on a 1" block mark the shock shaft then put the bumps and packers in until they get the the marks on the shock shaft.. Do we set the bar at dynamic.
thanks Al
